MSI Modern 14 B11S is an upgrade over the B10R-version introduced earlier in 2020: It is an entry-level 14-inch business laptop powered by 11th-gen Intel Core processors.
Slotted below the Summit and Prestige series, the Modern 14 B11S nevertheless features PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD, WiFi 6, Thunderbolt port, and full-size HDMI out.
Besides the upgrade in CPU, the B11S version also upgrades the DDR4 memory to 3200MHz and the optional discrete graphics to MX450.
At the same time, MSI also introduced the 15.6-inch Modern 15 A11S, which shares similar improvements.

The display (IPS, FHD) scores with a matte surface, stable viewing angles, a good brightness, and excellent contrast. Despite the high fan speeds under load (gaming), the laptop still heats up more than many high end gaming laptops.
