Reviewers from tomshardware have found:
The Asus ROG Strix XG17AHPE is an amazing portable monitor for gamers with the need for it. Nothing can compete for pairing with a good graphics card or gaming console or just packing up for a LAN party. With great viewing angles, it's also a great second screen for work.
Pros
  • Beautiful 240 Hz display
  • Great viewing angles
  • Great battery life
Cons
  • Lackluster speakers
  • No Power Delivery port

trustedreviews[2]

Reviewer score 71% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from trustedreviews have found:
The ROG Strix XG17 is a slender and portable 17.3-inch IPS monitor. It has a Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, a response time of 3ms, and a refresh rate of 48-240Hz. There’s a micro-HDMI port, for when you want to hook up a gaming laptop. It also supports adaptive sync technology – although, at the time of writing, no-one could tell me if this meant Nvidia G-Sync, AMD FreeSync, or both.
Pros
  • High refresh rate
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • On-screen display is fiddly
