Product Overview

Samsung Galaxy Watch3 combines the level of craftsmanship of a luxury timepiece with cutting-edge health and wellness features. Available in either stainless steel + leather or titanium, Galaxy Watch3 comes in either 41mm or 45mm diameter.
The Galaxy Watch3 also features the popular rotating bezel from previous watch models: With just a turn of the bezel, you can easily toggle between widgets, open apps and scroll through notifications. Compared to the original Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Watch3 is 14% thinner, 8% smaller and 15% lighter while boasting a larger display.
Galaxy Watch3 also offers new experiences in health and wellness monitoring: The Blood oxygen (SpO2) feature measures and tracks oxygen saturation over time, for fitness and wellness purposes. It will also be home to the new Samsung Health Monitor app once launched, which will include blood pressure (BP) monitoring and electrocardiogram (ECG) readings in markets where these features have been authorized.
To ensure that help is never too far away in the event of a fall, Galaxy Watch3 comes with a new feature that detects falls, which identifies a potential fall and can send an SOS notification to your chosen contacts.

gizmodo[1]

Reviewer score 86%
Reviewers from gizmodo have found the following***:
The Galaxy Watch 3 is the best non-Apple smartwatch I've ever tested. It's on par with the $400 GPS-only Apple Watch. The only reason a non-Samsung Android user might want a Wear OS watch over the Galaxy Watch is for Google Assistant and NFC payments.
Find the original article here.
Pros
  • Sleek design with rotating bezel
  • Accurate sleep-tracking
  • New advanced running metrics
Cons
  • No NFC

digitaltrends[2]

Reviewers from digitaltrends have found the following***:
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 is the best smartwatch you can buy if you own an Android phone. It's double what you'd spend on some WearOS watches, and because smartwatches remain a nice add-on rather than an essential, you'll really have to be sold on the concept to spend so much. If you want WearOS for Google's apps, then the Fossil Gen 5 is good, and so is the Moto 360.

Pros
  • Solid build quality
  • Excellent control system
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No IP68 rating
  • Battery life could be better

gsmarena[3]

Reviewer score 78%
Reviewers from gsmarena have found the following***:
The Samsung Galaxy Watch3 launches with a steep price of $400/€400 for the small model and some extra for the larger one. The device has two OS' to boot from, one that promises whopping 21 days of battery life but it turns into a smart band. Huawei's Watch GT 2 and Honor's MagicWatch 2 are both capable alternatives and definitely worth considering. They have far superior battery life, can measure your heart rate even during swimming session and are considerably cheaper.

Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Good battery life
  • Solid performance
Cons
  • No ECG certification
  • No loudspeaker
  • No LTE certification

notebookcheck[4]

Reviewer score 68%
Reviewers from notebookcheck have found the following***:
Samsung has doubled the user memory to 8 GB, but hardly more than half of this is left for music and pictures that can be transferred from the smartphone to the watch. Samsung has installed its language assistant Bixby and Microsoft Outlook. The Super AMOLED display can be increased in sensitivity so that it can be operated in winter even when wearing gloves.

Pros
  • Super AMOLED display
  • Accurate GPS
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No wireless charging
  • No heart rate monitor

pcmag[5]

Reviewers from pcmag have found the following***:
The Galaxy Watch3 is one of the better Android smartwatches we've seen so far. It offers an excellent texting experience, a very good Spotify app, and easy contactless payments with Samsung Pay. The Watch3 doesn't offer quite the selection of high-quality third-party apps that you get with Apple Watch.
Find the original article here.
Pros
  • Vibrant AMOLED display
  • Robust health features
  • Accurate trip detection
  • Easy contactless payments with Samsung Pay
Cons
  • Limited third-party apps
  • No NFC

phonearena[6]

The Galaxy Watch 3 comes with workout tracking support for a wide range of activities. It can time your workouts and show you a list of stats, such as distance travelled (where applicable), heart rate information, calories burned, and other useful intel. During a workout, immediate access to a music player is also always available, just in case you need an energy boost from your favorite songs.

Pros
  • Attractive design
  • Good battery life
  • Good workout tracking
Cons
  • Lack of smartwatch features

techadvisor[7]

Reviewers from techadvisor have found the following***:
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 is available to buy in the US and the UK right now. The 41mm version costs £399/$399 while the larger 45mm variant costs $449/£439. You'll find GPS alongside a heart rate monitor that measures your heart rate throughout the day, not just when exercising. It also offers sleep tracking in partnership with the US National Sleep Institute to provide insight into your nightly snooze. The watch is Qi-enabled, allowing you to charge it via any wireless charger.

Pros
  • Easy to use
  • Automatic tracking
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Not as comprehensive as the Apple Watch
  • No VO2 Max or SpO2 readings

techradar[8]

Reviewer score 74%
Reviewers from techradar have found the following***:
Samsung's Galaxy Watch 3 is the first smartwatch to include fall detection and on-demand VO2 Max readings. There's also an electrocardiogram (ECG) and blood pressure monitoring on this device, but these aren't ready to test at launch outside of Korea. The watch automatically tracks your sleep cycles, and greets you every morning with sleep quality reports and tips on how to get better-quality shut-eye.

Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Good sleep tracking
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No wireless charging
  • No SpO2 monitor

theverge[9]

Reviewer score 50%
Reviewers from theverge have found the following***:
Samsung does a number of things well and falls short in others. The messaging experience is poor, and the watch will just do fewer things than when it's connected to an Android device. The Watch 3 is clearly designed for more everyday use as opposed to the fitness-focused Active line. It still comes with a handful of new fitness tracking features.
Find the original article here.
Pros
  • Better battery life than previous models
  • Improved fitness tracking
  • Improved sleep tracking
Cons
  • Lackluster battery life
  • Limited third-party watchfaces

tomsguide[10]

Reviewer score 81%
Reviewers from tomsguide have found the following***:
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 has a FDA-approved ECG monitor. It can detect signs of atrial fibrillation just like the Apple Watch. Tizen OS has a more limited library of third-party selections than the native Apple Watch App Store. But if you've picked up an Android phone, you won't find anything more polished and powerful.
Find the original article here.
Pros
  • Slim, stylish design
  • Accurate sleep tracking
  • FDA-approved ECG sensor
Cons
  • Lackluster battery life

trustedreviews[11]

Reviewers from trustedreviews have found the following***:
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 looks like a watch - and for those who don’t want a computer sitting on their wrist then that’s great. It has options to track all the basics: running, cycling (indoor/outdoor), swimming, weightlifting, etc. But it also has a few nifty coaching features. These include a run coach that will offer advice to you mid-run using past workout's performance data, and guided workouts for specific exercises like free weights. The services aren't as detailed or intensive as what you’ll find on Fitbit Premium or a Garmin Fenix device, but they’re a good entry point for more casual users.
Find the original article here.
Pros
  • Good battery life
  • Good fitness tracking
Cons
  • Battery life isn’t great
  • No always-on screen option
