The Z 24-50mm gets the job done, and will serve budget-minded Z 5 and Z 6 buyers well. It also a compelling lens for Nikon SLR owners moving to mirrorless. Focus is available to 13.8 inches throughout the range, giving the zoom a workable 1:5.9 reproduction ratio.
