Product Overview

The 2nd-generation Acura TLX wears an athletic design with enhanced interior comfort and is powered by new, all-turbocharged engine lineup that deliver superior performance.
Honda engineered the 2nd-gen Acura TLX to be the best-handling sedan in the brand's history. The 2.0L turbocharged VTEC combined with the 4th-generation SH-AWD system as well as rigid body structure and re-tuned suspensions deliver the desired characteristics.
The standard TLX features more dynamic design than its predecessor. The A-Spec sport package adds more sporting appearance upgrades.
The high-performance TLX Type S builds on the styling of A-Spec and adds the all-new turbocharged V6 developed for Acura Type S models.
Acura's 4th-gen SH-AWD has 40% more rear torque capacity and 30% quicker front-to-tear torque transfer than its predecessor. It transfers up to 70% of the torque to the rear axle during normal driving and continuously apportioning up to 100% of the rear-axle torque between the two wheels. The rear axle is also continuously overdriven by 2.9% to amplify handling.

Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
, Advance and Technology packages offered on lesser models. You'll find heated and cooled seats, a heated steering wheel, rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming mirrors. This might not be a brand-new sedan, but it certainly does not want for features. Overall, despite its tech shortcomings, I like the TLX's interior.

Pros
  • Powerful V6 engine
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Excellent infotainment system
Cons
  • Not as fun as rivals
  • Not as efficient as rivals

Pros
  • Powerful turbo I4

Reviewers from digitaltrends have found the following***:
The 2021 Acura TLX is Acura's strongest effort yet to recapture the magic of its early days. It's not perfect — the Genesis G70 offers better driving dynamics, the BMW 3 Series has a better infotainment system. The TLX offers a good combination of sporty driving dynamics and high-end features.

  • Unique infotainment system
