Product Overview

The 5th-generation RAM 1500 is the most luxurious and technologically-advanced truck ever to wear the RAM marque. Its optimized frame and powertrain deliver weight significant reduction (102 kg) and higher efficiency than its predecessor, too.
The RAM 1500 features the 4th-gen Uconnect system with a 12-inch reconfigurable touchscreen as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. A new active noise cancellation system and acoustic glass reduce ambient noise down to a mere 67.1 dB. For parking, a 360-degree surround view camera is available for the first time.
A unique link-coil rear suspension system is standard, while an air suspension with five height settings for maximum off-road capability as well as aerodynamic performance is optional. Wind-tunnel honed the exterior shape of the RAM 1500 that enjoys best-in-class aerodynamics, and grille shutters, air dam, and the optional air suspension further improves aerodynamic performance.
The 5th-gen RAM 1500 is available with a wide range of trim levels. Among them, RAM 1500 Rebel is the most off-road capable version, while the RAM 1500 Limited is the most luxurious.

Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
The Ram 1500's cabin is still this segment's best, with plenty of nice materials and easy-to-use controls. Upgrading the truck's stock, cloth-covered seats is a Katzkin leather interior, complete with contrast stitching. A $499 set of Mopar fender flares should help protect the body when out adventuring.

Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
The Ram 1500 is my favorite half-ton. It has a better on-road ride than any of its competitors. The interior is more comfortable, the materials are nicer and the tech is top-notch. The 2021 Ford F-150 is going to give the Ram a real run for its money when it launches.

The Ram 1500 EcoDiesel can haul 2,040 pounds in its bed or tow 12,560 pounds. The optional air suspension has a self-leveling feature to keep the ride smooth while towing. The 12-inch, vertically oriented touchscreen is a standout feature in the Ram 1500's cabin.

Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
The 2021 Ram 1500 most closely resembles a luxury car when your eyes are pointed at the window sticker. The Limited Longhorn is the second most expensive trim, starting at $56,875. With all the bells and whistles mentioned above, its out-the-door price is a staggering $71,400.

  • Lack of standard safety features

digitaltrends[6]

Sentiment Score 71%
Reviewers from digitaltrends have found the following***:
The 2019 Ram 1500 isn't the most powerful full-size pickup on sale. The body-on-frame builds are inherently rougher than unibody counterparts. A coil spring rear suspension and active noise-cancelling limit ride harshness. The cabin volume is on par with vastly more aerodynamic, premium-grade sedans.

Pros
  • Powerful V8 engine
  • Sleek styling
  • Comfortable ride
Cons
  • Lackluster infotainment system
