Product Overview

The Kia Telluride is the marque's flagship that seats 8. Sharing many components and most technology features with its stablemate, the Hyundai Palisade, the Telluride sports a less aggressive, yet equally luxurious design.
Assembled in the US and for the US market, the Telluride features the company's Atkinson Cycle LAMBDA-II 3.8L GDi engine coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission, just like the Palisade.

autocar[1]

Reviewer score 62% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
Kia's new Telluride is a mid-size, three-row crossover. It is 200mm longer, 100mm wider and 65mm taller than the Sorento. Under the bonnet is a 3.8-litre, direct-injection petrol V6. A 10.25in touchscreen with sat-nav is standard across the range.
Pros
  • Powerful V6
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent infotainment system
Cons
  • No seven-seat option in the US

autoexpress[2]

Reviewer score 65% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
The Kia Telluride is the brand's biggest, most expensive SUV. At 5,001mm long, it's just over 50mm longer than a Volvo XC90, yet 163mm shorter than a BMW X7. The interior is smartly trimmed, featuring a premium-looking dashboard fitted with classy wood inlays and just the right amount of brushed aluminium-style trim.
Pros
  • Sleek looks
  • Decent infotainment system
Cons
  • Not much fun to drive

cnet[3]

Reviewer score 66% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from cnet have found:
All flavors get the same 3.8-liter V6, free-breathing without turbos. Infotainment duties are handled by Kia's somewhat dated Uvo system. Middle row comfort is excellent, while your average NBA superstar will not be lacking for head nor shoulder room.
Pros
  • Gorgeous interior
  • Excellent infotainment
  • Decent fuel economy
Cons
  • Subpar interior materials
  • No automatic emergency braking

digitaltrends[4]

Reviewer score 73% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from digitaltrends have found:
The 2020 Kia Telluride is designed to take on the entire midsize SUV and crossover segment. It's not as sure-footed off the beaten path, where even the AWD model struggled on a moderately challenging trail. Most of the must-have tech is baked right in to the base model, but the EX model represents the sweet spot for tech-enabled value.
Pros
  • Class-leading infotainment tech
  • Rugged, rugged styling
Cons
  • No Apple CarPlay or Android Auto
  • Lack of standard driver aids
