Sentiment Score 66%
Reviewers from androidauthority have found the following***:
The FreeBuds 3i let you toggle in a special mode that helps outside sounds go through. It works a lot like the AirPods Pro's Transparency mode, just called different: Awareness mode. There's a noticeable difference between Awareness mode and simply turning ANC off. You'll get the best results with low, monotone noises like the humming of an airplane cabin or car engines.

Pros
  • Good sound quality
  • Active noise-cancelling
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Mediocre sound quality

Huawei FreeBuds 3i and Honor Magic Earbuds deliver similar functions. With a long press, you switch the suppression of outside noise on or off. The transparent mode is not available as standard, as you will have to update the firmware. At this price range, the Huawei model offers good sound quality.

Pros
  • Good sound quality
  • Good battery life
  • Good noise isolation
Cons
  • No ANC

Sentiment Score 63%
Reviewers from techadvisor have found the following***:
The FreeBuds 3i cost £89.99 and you can buy them from Huawei directly or other retailers including Amazon. It's a good price for the quality on offer, both sound quality and build quality plus features such as ANC. But the 3i's battery life isn't quite as good as some of its rivals. The closed-fit design already does a good job of noise isolation, but there is a noticeable difference when you enable ANC.

Pros
  • Good sound quality
  • Active noise cancelling
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Noise cancelling isn’t as good as AirPods
