Yamaha NS-5000PNST Stereo Bookshelf Speakers with Stands

MSRP 15000 USDNEX score 93%

Product Overview

Yamaha NS-5000 3-way bookshelf bass-reflex stereo speakers are the flagship in Yamaha's lineup. They feature drivers made of ZYLON, a high-strength and lightweight synthetic fiber that provides exceptional acoustic velocity and the ability to reproduce delicate details without the sharp resonance peak of harder materials.
NS-5000 also features a patented Acoustic Absorber that eliminates sound-absorbing material and patented resonance suppression chambers that reduce resonance in mid-to-high-ranges.
The speakers are enclosed in white Japanese birch with a piano black finish, the same used on Yamaha grand pianos. They are part of Yamaha's 5000-series.

Reviewers from hifichoice have found the following***:
The NS-5000 sets up a big, expansive soundstage that bristles with detail. Bass is effortless and treble sweet and extended. Everything seems to meld into the midband, which duly does a great job of communicating the familiar tones of Paul McCartney. It shares the NS-1000M’s unflappable nature, moving vast amounts of air without breaking into a sweat.
