The 5.8mm drivers in these are made from graphene, making them lightweight (4.6g each) yet strong. There’s IPX5 certification to protect them from sweat and the occasional downpour. Bluetooth 5.0 technology provides wireless connectivity at up to 30 meters and improved battery efficiency.

- Excellent noise-cancellation
Cons

The earpieces each have push-button controls on their ends, with some controls divided between the two.

Reviewer score 37% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Cambridge Audio Melomania 1 are decent for mixed usage. Their sound quality isn’t great but should satisfy fans of bass-heavy genres. Their earplug-like design isolates an impressive amount of noise. However, they’re a poor choice for watching TV and gaming due to their poor latency.
Pros
- Very good sound quality
- Very good noise isolation
- Well-built design
- Superb battery life
Cons
- In-ear fit won’t be comfortable for everyone
- Poor latency
- No companion app with EQ

Reviewer score 83% (normalized by Neofiliac)Cambridge Audio's Melomania 1 earbuds sound excellent across the board. Sound is rich and warm with largely bass and mid-range being given the pedestal but there's enough top-end to give colour and vibrancy. You can connect over Bluetooth 5.0 which offers up to 30m of range. There's also both AAC and aptX codecs so you get good audio quality whether you're using an iPhone or Android.
Pros
- Excellent sound quality
- Compact and lightweight
- Good battery life
Cons
- No active noise cancelling
techradar[5]
Reviewer score 84% (normalized by Neofiliac)Cambridge Audio Melomania 1 true wireless earbuds are incredibly comfortable to wear, even for long periods of time. Sound quality rivals some of the best over-ear headphones, which is all but unheard of for buds of this size. Battery life is simply outstanding; you get nine hours from the buds themselves, with a further 36 hours of juice contained within their charging case. Cambridge Audio include a credit card-sized cheat sheet that lists all the different button press functions.
Pros
- Superb sound quality
- Comfortable fit
- Excellent battery life
Cons
- Noise cancellation is a little overpowering

The in-ears can be operated by Google Assistant or Siri voice control. At 4.6g each, the 1s aren’t heavy and they’ll remain comfortable in your ears for hours.
Pros
- Impressive battery life
- Comfortable fit
- Decent sound quality
Cons
- Battery life could be better
whathifi[7]
Reviewer score 88% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Melomania 1 IEMs are truly wireless, so there are no wires anywhere except the little supplied micro USB cable to connect the charging case to a power source. Inside each unit, there's a 5.8mm graphene driver, a triple-core processor (including a Qualcomm subsystem to support both AAC and aptX audio codecs) a noise-cancelling mic for clearer calls or chatting to Siri/Google Assistant. An IPX5 rating means they're water and sweat-resistant too.
Pros
- Comfortable fit
- Impressive sound quality
- Easy to use app
Cons
- No dedicated EQ
