cnet[1]

Reviewer score 73% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from cnet have found:
The Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 have a soft-to-the-touch rubberized inside band that's filled with air for extra cushioning. The new microphones are designed to pick up your voice better so people can hear you better in noisier environments. The headphones' computer chips are doing a fair amount of sound processing.
Pros
  • Comfortable fit
  • Good sound quality
  • Always-on Alexa
Cons
  • Battery life could be better

digitaltrends[2]

Reviewer score 80% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from digitaltrends have found:
With quick charging, the Bose 700 can play for 2 – 2.5 hours on a 15 minute charge. The 700 have a very obvious boost in the upper mid-range and lower treble regions. For everyday use, the 700 don't sound nearly as good as the Sony WH-1000XM3 or Bose QC 35 II.
Pros
  • Excellent noise canceling
  • Excellent battery life
  • Comfortable fit
Cons
  • Noise canceling not as effective as previous models

laptopmag[3]

Reviewer score 83% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from laptopmag have found:
The Bose 700s are the best wireless noise-cancelling headphones you can buy. They have a four-microphone system that captures your voice, then isolates it by cancelling out the sounds around you. The 700s use the latest Bluetooth 5.0 standard, which promises 33 feet of range.
Pros
  • Great sound quality
  • Excellent call quality
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No EQ
  • No touch controls

nextpit[4]

Reviewer score 75% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from nextpit have found:
Bose AR is a software innovation that, from Bose's point of view, should create added value in the future. During my test, however, I did not use the app at all after it was set up. The benefits of Bose AR are not yet clear to me, which is certainly due to the very small number of apps.
Pros
  • Very good sound
  • Active noise canceling
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Noise cancellation is not yet clear
  • Noise canceling is not very effective

pcmag[5]

Reviewer score 85% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
Bose developed a mic array system that focuses on your voice and rejects ambient noise nearby. On tracks with intense sub-bass content, the Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 deliver powerful low-frequency depth. For $50 less, the Bose QuietComfort 35 II remain some of the best ANC headphones.
Pros
  • Excellent audio performance
  • Excellent mic clarity
  • Strong voice assistant functionality
Cons
  • No adjustable ANC
  • No EQ

t3[6]

Reviewer score 86% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from t3 have found:
Bose does a great job with the mid-range frequency here. Nothing sounds anemic, muffled or losing detail. Soundstage is very good, particularly with movies and shows. Each element has its own space, making it easy for listeners to focus on a particular thing. The controllable noise cancelling feature is a boon to everyone.
Pros
  • Well-balanced sound
  • Comfortable fit
  • Excellent noise cancelling
Cons
  • Battery life could be better

techadvisor[7]

Reviewer score 65% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techadvisor have found:
Bose Headphones 700 have a sleek, futuristic curve to them that's almost certain to win prospective customers over. Headband curves round in an unbroken arc of squidgy silicone, topped by tougher plastic, while the earcups themselves are subtly asymmetric. Unlike previous models these don't fold down at all, so there's no way to cram them into a coat pocket. They do still come with a carry case, which is taller but slimmer than before, thanks to a tapered design.
Pros
  • Slim, futuristic design
  • Impressive noise cancellation
  • Decent battery life
Cons
  • Fiddly app
  • No AptX support

techradar[8]

Reviewer score 83% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techradar have found:
The Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 have an eight-microphone system. Two of these microphones are paired with two separate mics, which work together to isolate your voice and reject environmental noise during phone calls. There are 11 noise cancellation settings, three of which can be selected as presets and toggled through using the physical button on the earcup. Full transparency, which is known by Bose as ‘Conversation Mode', turns noise cancelation off completely.
Pros
  • Class-leading sound quality
  • Excellent battery life
  • Excellent noise cancellation
Cons
  • Slightly harsh soundstage

tomsguide[9]

Reviewer score 81% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from tomsguide have found:
The Bose 700s offer a wide soundstage, with balanced highs, mids and lows. Compared to competing headphones, the Bose aren't as loud, but they are more precise. The 700s utilize Bluetooth 5.0, which gives listeners a range of up to 33 feet.
Pros
  • Clean, balanced sound
  • Good noise cancelling
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Noise cancelling isn't as precise as competitors

trustedreviews[10]

Reviewer score 78% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from trustedreviews have found:
The Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 are available in three finishes – silver, black and a revolving third limited edition option. Battery life is at the lower spectrum of what’s expected from a premium pair of ANC cans. At up to 20 hours that is 10 hours less than the Sony WH-1000XM4 and B&W PX7. There is still the issue with how they cope with busy or chaotic tracks.
Pros
  • Big, wide and spacious sound
  • Excellent noise cancelling
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Lack of finesse in tone

whathifi[11]

Reviewer score 55% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from whathifi have found:
The 700s are largely a one-piece structure that, unlike the Bose QuietComfort 35 II, is free of visible hinges. The stainless steel headband is beautifully integrated into the earcups, with its bottom acting as a slider for the cups to move up and down. For a hands-free experience, there's built-in voice control. The 700s support Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, and either can be activated with a press of the bottom button on the right earcup.
Pros
  • Impressive sound quality
  • Sleek design
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Noise-cancelling isn’t the best
