autocar[1]
Reviewer score 57% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Mercedes GLB is a surprisingly capable cross-country companion. Frustrating steering aside, it can pick apart roller-coaster stretches of Tarmac. It's not engaging or entertaining in a traditional sense, but there’s enough pace and poise here to frighten the occasional well-driven hot hatch. The car's USP is that it combines this speed and agility with a decent dose of family-friendly practicality.
Pros
- Powerful engine
- Impressive handling
- Comfortable to drive
Cons
- Lacklustre steering
- Not the most fun to drive
autoexpress[2]
Reviewer score 67% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Mercedes GLB slots in between the GLA and GLC in the German company's burgeoning range of SUVs. It's similar in size to the GLC, but unlike its more expensive sibling, the GLB can be equipped with seven seats. This means it's likely to appeal to family buyers in search of a little extra versatility. There's a hint of the G-Class about the styling, while the boxy looks serve to create a practical and spacious interior.
Pros
- Comfortable to drive
- Decent infotainment system
Cons
- Lack of space and off-road capability
- Slightly dull to drive
carmagazine[3]
Reviewer score 63% (normalized by Neofiliac)The GLB boasts a neat, stylish cabin with added ruggedness over the A-Class. The larger touchscreen displays really do add to the sense of occasion. The adaptive suspension on every GLB we drove did a decent job of isolating the cabin from the excesses of anything up to 20-inch wheels. We'll reserve judgement on the GLB's actual ride quality until it hits UK roads with the correct setup.
Pros
- Sleek, stylish cabin
- Lots of standard equipment
Cons
- Alternatives are more fun to drive
- Alternatives offer more standard equipment
carwow[4]
Reviewer score 68% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 has the likes of the Skoda Kodiaq vRS completely outclassed in the style stakes. You get plenty of plush materials, some gorgeous metal-effect air vents, super-supportive sports seats and Mercedes' signature dual-screen infotainment system. The two in the front come with plenty of adjustment as standard and those in the middle are roomy enough for six-footers to stretch out. But the rearmost seats are difficult to climb into and only large enough for kids to sit comfortably.
Pros
- Fantastic infotainment system
- Lots of fun to drive
Cons
- Rugged interior
- Loud engine
cnet[5]
Reviewer score 66% (normalized by Neofiliac)At $37,595, the GLB250 undercuts the base price of a GLC300 by $5,900. The GLB employs a 2.0-liter, turbocharged, four-cylinder engine. Front-wheel drive is standard, but 4Matic all-wheelDrive is available for $2,000.
Pros
- Expansive interior space
- Comfortable to drive
- Decent infotainment system
Cons
- No 4Matic all-wheel drive
- No adaptive cruise control
digitaltrends[6]
Reviewer score 54% (normalized by Neofiliac)The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLB 250 uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It has plenty of power for overtaking on highways, but it's no sports car. The GLB is a comfortable, quiet cruiser that feels like a proper luxury car.
Pros
- Sleek styling
- Comfortable to drive
- Good fuel economy
Cons
- Lacks standard infotainment tech
- No standard driver assist tech
