External Reviews

rtings[1]

Reviewer score 22% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from rtings have found:
The Sony WI-1000XM2 are reasonably comfortable headphones. Their noise cancelling works well to cut the low rumble of plane and bus engines as well as speech. The silicone neckband is stable enough to be worn around the neck while exercising, although the earbuds can fall out with a few shakes. They aren't ideal for those looking for a more neutral sound.
Pros
  • Good noise cancelling
  • Good battery life
  • Comfortable fit
Cons
  • Mediocre microphone
  • Poor noise isolation

Reviewers from techradar have found:
Sony WI-1000XM2 wireless neckband earbuds will be available in January 2020. Powered by the same noise-canceling processor as Sony's WF-1000XM3 headphones. Will cost £300 in the UK, which works out at around $370 / AU$540. Sound quality is excellent, and battery life could be better.
Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Excellent noise cancelation
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Not cheap

trustedreviews[3]

Reviewer score 78% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from trustedreviews have found:
Sony WI-1000XM2 are some of the best active noise cancellation earphones you can get. They use Bluetooth 5.0, have NFC for quick pairing with Androids and support Sony’s LDAC format for high-resolution streaming. Detail is excellent, and Sony actively wants us to appreciate it, with enlivened treble. However, the treble seems a distinct entity, not quite part of a coherent whole.
Pros
  • Powerful bass
  • Effective noise cancelling
  • Good build quality
Cons
  • Tight treble
  • Noise cancellation could be better
