External Reviews

digitaltrends[1]

Reviewer score 76% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from digitaltrends have found:
The 10.1-inch FHD IPS (1920 x 1200) screen is very clear and didn't have much distortion when viewing it from different angles. The battery life on the Yoga Smart Tab is decent. It can last for up to 11 hours if you're just browsing the internet and offers up to 10 hours of video playback. The only real drawback is the unbalanced feel and the added weight when you're holding the Smart Tab.
Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Smart home hub features
  • Built-in stand
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Unbalanced screen
  • Mediocre speakers

notebookcheck[2]

Reviewer score 58% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from notebookcheck have found:
The 10.1-inch IPS display runs at a native resolution of 1920x1200. Its maximum brightness of 392 nits is barely good enough for second to last place within our comparison group. The Yoga Smart Tab’s built-in Qualcomm Adreno 505 is fast enough for applications with low graphics requirements. While it is capable of running modern games, they may require reduced details.
Pros
  • Matte IPS display
  • Fast Wi-Fi
  • Decent battery life
Cons
  • Mediocre contrast ratio
  • No microSD card reader

pcmag[3]

Reviewer score 66% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
The Yoga Smart Tab is quick and responsive for basic tasks like video streaming and surfing the web. When it comes to gaming, however, the tablet struggles. Lenovo claims the tablet's 7,000mAh battery can provide up to 10 hours of video playback. The 5MP camera is fine for scanning photos or taking a quick reference shot.
Pros
  • Attractive design
  • Good sound
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Mediocre performance
  • No security patches

techradar[4]

Reviewer score 71% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techradar have found:
The Lenovo Yoga SmartTab has a 10.1 inch FHD (1,920 x 1,080) IPS display. It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 and 4GB of memory on the high-end. You just get one USB-C for charging and data, and a headphone jack.
Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Comfortable to hold
Cons
  • Battery life could be better
  • No headphone jack
