Product Overview

Nikon Nikkor Z DX 16-50mm F3.5-6.3 VR is a standard zoom lens for Nikon Z-mount. It covers the APS-C image circle. Introduced by Nikon in 2019, it has 9 elements in 7 groups.
Like most zoom lenses, the Nikon Nikkor Z DX 16-50mm F3.5-6.3 VR is externally-zooming. Unfortunately, Nikon has opted to omit weather sealing for this lens, so owners should pay extra attention when shooting in incremental weathers.
A standard zoom lens with moderate aperture, the Nikon Nikkor Z DX 16-50mm F3.5-6.3 VR is more of a "volume seller" than a premium option. Still, some photographers may find the results "good enough". The lens is also stabilized, making it even easier to use for videos and stills alike.
