History
Alfa Romeo is an Italian subsidiary of the multinational automaker Stellantis. Currently, it is positioned as a premium brand in the European branch of Stellantis.
Founded over a century ago, Alfa Romeo had tremendous success in the pre-war period, at which time Enzo Ferrari raced its cars. After the war, Alfa Romeo continued to manufacture exciting automobiles and participated in races. However, it run into financial difficulties and had to be sold to Fiat. As Fiat merged with Chrysler into FCA, Alfa Romeo returned the North American market.
