SIGMA Rolls Out October Firmware Updates for EF- and L-mount Lenses & MC-11 Adapter
Each month, SIGMA introduces new firmware for select lenses, cameras, and mount-converters. In October 2020, SIGMA is rolling out new firmware for Leica L-mount and Canon EF-mount lenses as well as MC-11 EF-E mount converter.
EF-Mount Lenses
Five SIGMA EF-mount lenses receive firmware updates this month:
SIGMA 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC MACRO OS HSM | Contemporary lens in EF-mount receives optimized exposure during viewfinder shooting when used in combination with the EOS 90D as well as improved AF accuracy when used with MC-11 EF-E and MC-21 EF-L mount converters.
SIGMA 70-200mm F2.8 DG OS HSM | Sports and 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Contemporary lenses in EF-mount receive exposure during viewfinder shooting when used in combination with the EOS 90D and the EOS-1D X Mark Ⅲ.
SIGMA 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Sports lens in EF-mount receives optimized exposure during viewfinder shooting when used in combination with the EOS 90D and the EOS-1D X Mark Ⅲ. A rare communication problem during Live View shooting when shooting with the EOS-1D X Mark III is also fixed.
SIGMA 20mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art lens in EF-mount receives optimized exposure during viewfinder shooting when used in combination with the EOS 90D and the EOS-1D X Mark Ⅲ. The operating sound of the lens diaphragm blades is reduced when shooting film.
L-Mount Lenses
Two SIGMA L-mount lenses receive firmware updates this month:
SIGMA 45mm F2.8 DG DN | Contemporary and 70mm F2.8 DG MACRO | Art lenses in L-mount are now compatible with focus ring adjustment functionality.
MC-11 EF-E Converter
The latest firmware for the MC-11 converter makes it compatible with the five aforementioned EF-mount lenses:
- SIGMA 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC MACRO OS HSM | Contemporary lens with firmware Ver.2.03
- SIGMA 70-200mm F2.8 DG OS HSM | Sports lens with firmware Ver.1.02
- SIGMA 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Contemporary lens with firmware Ver.2.07
- SIGMA 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Sports lens with firmware Ver.2.02
- SIGMA 20mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art lens with firmware Ver.2.01
