The TCL S434 isn't bad for watching movies. It has an amazing contrast ratio and great black uniformity. It also upscales 1080p content, such as from Blu-rays, without issue. Sadly, it lacks a local dimming feature and doesn't remove judder from any source. It's decent for gaming thanks to its low input lag and decent response time.
