Product Overview

BMW M8 Convertible F91 is a luxury convertible in production from 2019. It is available with two tunes of BMW's infamous S63 bi-turbo hot-V8 engine that displaced 4.4 liters. Unfortunately, AWD and automatic transmission are standard.
Compared to the standard 8 Series, the F91 M8 has more athletic styling, though few would benefit from the performance improvements.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the BMW M8 Convertible F91 comes with double-wishbone at the front and multi-link at the rear.

External Reviews

autocar[1]

Reviewer score 64% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
Despite such heft this open top M8 can dart about with grippy aplomb. It can handle tighter turns with more deftness than its mass might suggest. Poise, measured roll and precise steering all make this car easier to tame than its vital statistics might. The M8 Competition’s sometimes abrupt ride is still more of a compromise.
Pros
  • Powerful V8
  • Pleasant ride
  • Impressive handling
Cons
  • Lack of rear-wheel drive
  • Pricier than rivals

autoexpress[2]

Reviewer score 73% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
The new 8 Series was always intended to be offered as a cabriolet, too, as well as a coupé and four-door Gran Coupé. The standard 8 Series Convertible's design is beefed up with enlarged front intakes, side gills, quad tailpipes at the back and a set of 20-inch forged alloy wheels. The M8 isn't without criticism, the exhaust doesn't quite live up to expectations, for the most part delivering a sensible, rather muted note.
Pros
  • Powerful V8
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Impressive handling
Cons
  • Lacklustre exhaust
  • Not the most fun to drive
