Product Overview

McLaren 570S Spider is a mid-size convertible sports car in production from 2017. It is available with several tunes of McLaren's bi-turbo V8 engine that displaced 3.8 liters.
Compared to the coupe on which it is based, the 570S Spider is even less attractive physically, though it has similar performance levels and is to many a more enjoyable car.
Utility-minded owners will have to keep in mind that the 202L (7cu-ft) cargo space may not be sufficient.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the McLaren 570S Spider comes with double-wishbone suspensions at all four corners.

Reviewer score 89% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
McLaren expects a similar level of Track Pack uptake for the Spider as for the coupé – around one in every 10 orders. Despite the sports exhaust, at no point will it put the hairs of your nape on alert, as the flat six in Porsche’s 911 GT3 and the V10 shared by the Audi R8 and Lamborghini Huracán frequently do.
Pros
  • Gorgeous styling
  • Impressive handling
  • Phenomenal handling
Cons
  • Not the most fun to drive
  • Pricier than rivals

carmagazine[2]

Reviewer score 95% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from carmagazine have found:
ucking away neatly beneath the tonneau cover to leave a pair of roadster pods tapering back behind occupants' heads. The ‘flying buttress' design seen on the Coupe – where air is flowed through the D pillars to assist aerodynamics – disappears, so the Spider's rear spoiler grows taller by 12mm. An electric window between the pods can be raised or lowered with either the roof up or down. Performance is predictably strong and exciting as it hauls with increasing intensity to the redline, but there's a small delay to every input.
Pros
  • Gorgeous looks
  • Powerful engines
  • Superb ride quality
Cons
  • Not the most exciting
  • Noisy at high speeds
