Product Overview

Bentley Continental GTC Mk3 is a large luxury convertible in production from 2019. It is available with a range of V8 and W12 engines that displaced 4.0 to 6.0 liters.
Compared to the Continental GT, the GTC has the same setup and is more suitable for those living in moderate climate all year round. Compared to its predecessor, the Mk3 is much more advanced, having been built on VW's RWD-based MSB platform.
Utility-minded owners will have to keep in mind that the 235L (8cu-ft) cargo space may not be sufficient.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Bentley Continental GT III Convertible comes with double-wishbone at the front and multi-link at the rear.

Reviewers from autocar have found the following***:
Bentley’s W12 engine feels as potent in this 650bhp state of tune as you’d hope it would, albeit still a bit lazy and boosty in its delivery at times. Both coupé and convertible are near enough identical cars to interact with at a simpler level. Even in their sportiest drive modes, neither troubles you with much weight or tactile feedback through the steering.

Pros
  • New-found handling dynamism
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons
  • Not the most exciting engine
  • Lacklustre engine

autocar[2]

Reviewers from autocar have found the following***:
The V8 has all the accessible grunt and outright performance that a luxury tourer needs. The actuation of the car’s dual-clutch transmission still seems just a little bit laboured at times. Even Comfort mode can’t quite give the cabrio the same sense of hewn-from-solid structural integrity that you’ll find in the equivalent coupé.

Pros
  • Gorgeous interior
  • Impressive powertrain
  • Comfortable ride
Cons
  • Bentley Dynamic Ride isn’t for everyone

autocar[3]

Reviewers from autocar have found the following***:
It’s a big car, for sure, fractionally longer than the outgoing car at 4.85metre overall length and with 100mm added to the wheelbase. Mainly, this moves the front wheels forward, an action that greatly improves body proportions. The engine produces 626bhp at 6000rpm, plus a mighty 664lb ft of torque, an output that easily beats even the most powerful versions of the previous GT.

Pros
  • Luxurious interior
  • Excellent ride quality
  • Fantastic infotainment system
Cons
  • Nothing in particular

autoexpress[4]

Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
The third-generation Continental GT Convertible is the pinnacle of the open-top grand tourer. With a 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 engine that makes 626bhp and 900Nm of torque – even though this tank weighs 2,414kg – it'll still hit 60mph in 3.7 seconds and 207mph flat out. Just as in the Continental coupe you'll find the largest touchscreen ever to feature in a Bentley, at 12.3 inches.

Pros
  • Gorgeous interior
  • Fantastic infotainment system
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons
  • Not the most comfortable to drive

autoexpress[5]

Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
Technology and craftsmanship combine in equal measure to deliver something very special that drips with elegance and desirability in almost every way. It's so comfortable and so characterful thanks to that engine, which delivers more than enough performance. The GT Convertible is delightfully comfortable and glides over the road, but given its size and weight, at nearly five metres long and 2,335kg, the Bentley handles nicely, too.

Pros
  • Powerful V8 engine
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Excellent infotainment system
Cons
  • Quite expensive

autoexpress[6]

Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
Coupe goes from 100mph in 3.3 seconds to 62mph in just 3.7. New carbon-ceramic brake discs gripped by 10-piston calipers are the largest fitted to any road car, and only just squeeze behind the 22-inch alloy wheels. New electronic rear differential - the first for the brand - rear wheel steering and variable electronic stability control. Prices start at £209,000 for the convertible and climb to £900 for the Coupe.

Pros
  • Gorgeous looks
  • Impressive handling
  • Fantastic infotainment system
Cons
  • Not as powerful as rivals
  • More expensive than rivals

carmagazine[7]

Reviewer score 93%
Reviewers from carmagazine have found the following***:
The third-gen Conti's more capable chassis has already proved itself in the Coupe, and the Convertible's an equally giant leap over its forebear. The interior – as befits a £175,890 luxury car in the first days of its life – is gorgeous. The car also deploys everything in Bentley's dynamic arsenal; a torque-splitting centre diff and all-wheel drive, torque vectoring by brake, air suspension, 48-volt anti-roll control and the biggest iron brakes currently on sale.

Pros
  • Gorgeous interior
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Fantastic infotainment system
Cons
  • Pricier than Coupe

digitaltrends[8]

Reviewer score 80%
Reviewers from digitaltrends have found the following***:
Bentley opted for an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, rather than the torque-converter automatics used in its previous vehicles. Dynamic Ride active suspension system uses a 48-volt electrical system and electronic actuators to counteract body roll. Despite having a fabric convertible top, the Continental GT was library quiet on the inside.

Pros
  • Gorgeous interior
  • Comfortable ride
  • Fantastic infotainment system
Cons
  • No all-wheel drive
  • Less refined transmission
