Product Overview

McLaren Senna is a mid-size supercar in production from 2018. It is available with a highly-tuned bi-turbo V8 engine that displaced 4.0 liters.
Essentially, the Senna is the high-performance variant to the 720S / 765LT, with the engine now developing 800PS of power. The same 800Nm of torque is kept.
McLaren named the car after Ayrton Senna as a tribute.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the McLaren Senna comes with double-wishbone suspensions at all four corners.

autocar[1]

Reviewer score 99% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
Power is up by 9% over the 720S, but to try it on circuit is to whack into the soft rev limiter repeatedly, rather than never get there. McLaren’s approach to the transmission is as it usually is: that V8 drives the back wheels only, through a dual-clutch automatic gearbox. It is so absurdly reassuring and stable – yet still wildly exciting.
Pros
  • Fantastic corner speeds
  • Impressive handling
  • Superb stability
Cons
  • Not the most fun to drive

carmagazine[2]

Reviewer score 100% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from carmagazine have found:
The Senna uses bespoke Pirelli P-Zero Corsas tuned specifically to the car. Top speed is 211mph and 0-62mph takes 2.8sec. The suspension adapts automatically on the road, and can also be configured on a similar ‘Active' panel to other models in the McLaren range. The carbonfibre plenum chamber is a work of art in itself.
Pros
  • Fantastic performance
  • Impressive powertrain
  • Superb handling
Cons
  • No track-only Senna GTR

topgear[3]

Reviewer score 82% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from topgear have found:
The Senna comes across as very purposeful, thinly padded and bare of carbon, but with all the equipment necessary to at least be tolerable on theroad. You don't have much opportunity to look out the lower glass panels when you're driving, but they nevertheless manage to add something to the experience. The thought of cruising along, while light floods through the glass roof panels and you can look out at the road through the clear lower door panels is pretty compelling. You get the feeling that owners might end up using the Senna more than they firstthink.
Pros
  • Sleek looks
  • Impressive handling
  • Fantastic infotainment system
Cons
  • Nothing in particular
