Product Overview

Aston Martin DB11 is a large luxury coupe in production from 2016. It is available with a range of V8 and V12 engines that displaced 4.0 to 5.2 liters.
Compared to the DB9 that preceded it, the DB11 is a bit uglier. From this generation, Aston Martin began using Mercedes' M177 bi-turbo V8 engine for the 8-cylinder model, while the V12 is a new bi-turbo unit based on the old 5.9L V12.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Aston Martin DB11 comes with double-wishbone at the front and multi-link at the rear.

External Reviews

autocar[1]

Reviewer score 83% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
The DB11 AMR is such a night-and-day improvement over the original V12 that you can’t help but feel a pang of sympathy for owners of those early cars. The cabin is now as solid and well finished as it always should have been. Gone is the harsh, hollow quality to the damping; the new version is beautifully suspended. There is an unholy alliance of precise-but-remote steering, forward visibility that is compromised by a high scuttle and a long bonnet.
Pros
  • Powerful V12 engine
  • Comfortable ride
  • Impressive handling
Cons
  • Lacklustre interior quality

autoexpress[2]

Reviewer score 82% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
The DB11 uses an all-new platform that will be used on a number of Aston's next models. The new structure is far stiffer than before, but while it features plenty of aluminium in its construction, the DB11 still weighs over 1,800kg. Aston Martin's twin-turbo V12 is smaller than the 6.0-litre unit in the DB9, but it's more powerful. The DB11's new chassis features a sophisticated multi-link rear axle set-up and double wishbones up front.
Pros
  • Powerful V12 engine
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons
  • Pricier than V12
