Alpina B4 F32 LCI is the facelifted version of the F32 Alpina B4 based on the F32 BMW 4 Series coupe. It was in production from 2017 to 2020 and was available with several tunes of the BMW N55 inline-6 engine that displaced 3.0 liters.
Like the pre-facelift, the B4 uses a bi-turbo version of the N55 engine. Compared to the standard BMW 4 Series, the Alpina is not very compelling. It is also less aggressive than the M4. All these make the car less special than some of its predecessors.

Reviewer score 72%Alpina’s chassis revisions have always seemed impossibly painstaking when you consider just 250 or so employees turn out only around 1500 cars each year. The bushings are bespoke, and so are the anti-roll bars, dampers and springs, and the geometry. The ‘ALP’-marked tyres are also a custom compound from Michelin and are definitely not of the dreaded run-flat variety.

Reviewer score 83%Power delivery escalates beautifully and there's very little turbo lag. It's a nicely vocal engine, too, spinning with an increasingly frenzied mechanical rasp that's somehow as civilised as it is hard-edged. In Sport mode, you're also unlikely to miss having a dual-clutch gearbox. Surprisingly a torque-sensing limited-slip differential doesn't come as standard.
