Product Overview

Jaguar F-Type X152 facelift is a luxury coupe in production from 2019. It is available with a range of inline-4 and V8 engines that displaced 2.0 to 5.0 liters.
Compared to the pre-facelift model, only moderate cosmetic updates have been introduced. A new I4 engine became the entry-level choice, while the V8 lived on in supercharged form. Unfortunately, AWD is standard on the most powerful F-Type R P575.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Jaguar F-type comes with double-wishbone suspensions at all four corners. This provides the good cornering performance and durability, though multi-link tends to be more tunable.

Reviewer score 69%
Reviewers from autocar have found the following***:
The F-Type R feels bigger and more substantial to drive than it looks from without. There’s a gently bristling firmness to its ride, which becomes slightly tetchy and recalcitrant with the adaptive dampers firmed up. The car mixes the richness, refinement, high-speed stability and comfort of a fast GT with the driver reward of something smaller and more purposeful quite skilfully.

Pros
  • Powerful V8
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Lots of power
Cons
  • Unresponsive in manual mode
  • Not the most fun to drive

Reviewers from autocar have found the following***:
You can expect to pay £97,280 for the coupé and £102,370 for the rag-top. Jaguar has recalibrated its electronically-assisted power steering. Its eight-speed ZF transmission has been tweaked using lessons learnt during the development of the XE SV Project 8. It rides impressively well, too, at once feeling more pliant and more forgiving than a similarly-priced 992 Carrera 4S.

Pros
  • Powerful V8

  • Superb infotainment system
Cons
  • Lack of balance and handling purity

Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
The F-Type is still a thrilling sports car that handles superbly. Prices range from around £54,000 to just over £100,000. Entry level models can count the Porsche Boxster and Cayman as competitors. V8 models can challenge the likes of the Aston Martin Vantage, Mercedes SL and AMG GT.

Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
The Jaguar F-Type has always been a left-field choice alongside thoroughbred sports cars like the Porsche 911. What it lacked in outright precision it more than made up for in deep-chested character. Jaguar has sprinkled its Coupe and Convertible models with a few 2020 MY updates, including parking sensors and cameras across the range, and suspension upgrades to the V8 R.

Pros
  • Fantastic all-rounder

autoexpress[5]

Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
The car's entire rear end has been re-engineered, with much of the technology and experience gained from developing the limited-run XE Project 8 applied to the latest F-Type. Inside, the steering wheel gains R branding, there's so-called ‘Premium’ ambient lighting, and the seats are adjustable in 12 directions and now trimmed in Ebony Windsor leather. The four-wheel-drive 575 manages 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds.

Pros
  • Bigger and sharper to drive
  • New infotainment system
Cons
  • More expensive than rivals

autoexpress[6]

Reviewer score 68%
Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
The F-Type P450 is slightly less than an entry-level Porsche 911 Carrera. The supercharged 5.0-litre V8 feels like it lives a relatively unstressed life up front, operating nowhere near the limit it has been engineered to withstand. It doesn't seem as agile or as predictable as a 911, and the Porsche remains a much sharper tool compared with the Jag's brutish character.

Pros
  • Powerful V8
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Stylish looks
Cons
  • Lacklustre V8
