Product Overview

Skoda Enyaq iV is a compact battery-electric crossover in production from 2020. It is powered by electric motors from 148hp to 204hp aided by batteries from 55kWh to 82kWh.
The first fully electric crossover from Skoda, the Enyaq iV can be seen as a cheaper variant of the VW ID.4. The car is rather ugly on the outside, but it is more conventional inside and is quite minimalist and clean.
Skoda has made a good effort in aerodynamics, with a decent 0.26 coefficient of drag to show for it.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the Skoda Enyaq iV uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance. Another plus is the small 9.3m (30.5ft) turning circle.

Elegant and inoffensive outside, and well finished inside. The driving position is great, the car retains a strong centre tunnel in the front. There’s generous rear room and a big boot. A pocket for drive cables and the drive motor beneath the boot floor. load capacity is still 585 litres with the seats up, rising to 1710 with them folded.

autoexpress[4]

Reviewer score 74%
Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
The Enyaq iV offers a claimed 333 miles of range and is fitted with an electric motor serving up 201bhp and 310Nm of torque. A kerbweight of 2,015kg means its performance isn't quite as rapid as we've come to expect from some EVs. Performance is still adequate, while accessing the maximum the motor offers is an altogether more refined experience than flat-out acceleration in a petrol or diesel SUV. High-spec ecoSuite models gets lots of kit, including leather, all-round parking sensors, LED lights, dual-zone climate control, AEB with collision warning, and wireless Apple CarPlay.

Pros
  • Powerful electric motor
  • Comfortable ride
  • Decent range
Cons
  • Not as fast as some rivals

autoexpress[5]

Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
The Enyaq is Skoda’s first purpose-built EV, but it has the now-ubiquitous VW MEB platform as a foundation. Skoda has moved away from traditional trim levels to a series of optional packs. Our car has just under £5,000 worth of optional extras on top of that EcoSuite interior.

Pros
  • Crisp, spacious interior
