Product Overview

Subaru Ascent is an affordable large crossover in production from 2018. It is available with a single turbocharged flat-4 engine that displaced 2.4 liters. Interestingly, only a CVT transmission is offered.
Those who drive offroad, for work or leisure, will appreciate the extraordinary approach, departure, and breakover angles that the chassis offers. However, the drivetrain may just be too weak and fragile for this type of duty.

Reviewer score 72% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from cnet have found:
The 2020 Subaru Ascent Touring has everything I could possibly want in a three-row family SUV. All that kit comes at a price -- this top-trim tourer has a window sticker of $46,055. The Starlink infotainment system doesn't have the latest graphics, but it's still plenty capable.
Pros
  • Fantastic safety features
  • Excellent infotainment system
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons
  • Expensive for a three-row family SUV
  • Lane-keep assist can get spooky
