Product Overview

Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo is a large battery-electric station wagon in production from 2021. It is powered by two AC motors aided by 93.4 kWh of battery.
Unlike the Taycan sedan, the Cross Turismo is AWD-only. Compared to the Sport Turismo model released months later, the Cross Turismo has more black plastic to appeal to posers.
Those who drive offroad, for work or leisure, will appreciate the decent approach, departure, and breakover angles that the chassis offers. Porsche has made a good effort in aerodynamics, with a decent 0.26 coefficient of drag to show for it.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo comes with double-wishbone at the front and multi-link at the rear. This is a bit unusual for AWD and less tunable than a multi-link front setup, but what you lose in performance you gain in durability.

Reviewer score 82% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
The 4S Cross Turismo is the not-quite Turbo version of Porsche’s big EV estate with off-roady cladding. It has two permanent magnet synchronous electric motors, one at each axle, with a one-speed drive on the front and a two-speed at the rear. An 800V electrical system gives it a 270kW maximum charge speed. The driving position is spot on, feel and perceived quality are high.
Pros
  • Lots of fun to drive
  • Lots of standard equipment
Cons
  • Lack of off-roady cladding
  • Fiddly touchscreens

autoexpress[2]

Reviewer score 93% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
Porsche Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo accelerates from 0-62mph in 3.3 seconds. New version of the car is beautifully finished, incredibly fast yet comfortable, and rapid charging makes it easy to live with. Porsche states that rear-seat passengers get an extra 47mm of headroom over the standard car, so anyone approaching six foot will appreciate the difference.
Pros
  • Impressive acceleration
  • Impressive range
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons
  • Expensive for what’s on offer

carmagazine[3]

Reviewer score 82% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from carmagazine have found:
The Turbo S Cross Turismo's ballistic competence would be intimidating were it not so startlingly accessible. On optional 21-inch wheels there's still a firmness there, though not as much as the Turbo S, but it's the flow over undulating back roads that impresses. The Taycan is not the most efficient EV out there, likely a product of its performance bias and elements of its detail engineering. And if the range – or lack thereof – might put you off this being a practical family car, it's not a cavernous estate either.
Pros
  • Phenomenal handling
  • Impressive range
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons
  • Not the most efficient EV out there
  • Short boot space

cnet[4]

Reviewer score 91% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from cnet have found:
The Taycan Cross Turismo is a total on-road champ. The 93.4-kWh battery and pair of electric motors produce 469 hp. Rear passengers will appreciate the extra 3.6 inches of rear headroom. The Taycan 4 is totally up for going fast on winding roads.
Pros
  • Superb off-road performance
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Porsche's Off-Road Design Package
Cons
  • Cherry Metallic looks a little cheap
