Product Overview

Jaguar I-Pace is a compact battery-electric crossover in production from 2018. It is powered by electric motors from 160hp to 200hp aided by a battery capacity of 90kWh. All models have AWD as standard.
While it looks like a crossover (while being marketed as "SUV"), the I-Pace is not designed to go off the road. Instead, it is the modern-day interpretation of the housewife mobile, currently of the sanctimonious variant. Nevertheless, among compact crossovers, the I-Pace has great looks.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Jaguar I-Pace comes with double-wishbone at the front and multi-link at the rear.

External Reviews

autocar[1]

Reviewer score 78% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
The I-Pace is not just a hit on the outside, it's got Jag’s best cabin in years. The leather and metal look terrific, as do the TFT dials and two electronic touchscreens. But the infotainment system is the same as that seen in more recent premium Jaguar Land Rover products and is as frustrating to use here as anywhere else. The only nagging doubt left in my mind other than the usual, inevitable range issues (298 miles on the WLTP cycle) is the ride.
Pros
  • Impressive power delivery
  • Impressive range
  • Excellent cabin
Cons
  • Noisy infotainment system
  • Not the best value

autoexpress[2]

Reviewer score 69% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
The Jaguar I-Pace is quite a large car and shares a very similar footprint to an Audi Q5 in terms of size. It measures in at 4,682mm long, 1,895mm wide and 1,565mm tall. The boot is flat and can swallow 656 litres of luggage, while dropping the rear bench frees up 1,453 litres in total. There's also a 27-litre ‘froot’ under the bonnet.
Pros
  • Cheap to run
  • Fantastic infotainment system
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons
  • Lack of engine
  • No automatic transmission

carwow[3]

Reviewer score 79% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from carwow have found:
Jaguar I-Pace is more fun to drive than an Audi e-tron, Mercedes EQC or Tesla Model X. Its interior is futuristic but also genuinely plush – something you couldn't honestly say about a Tesla – with lashings of leather, cool brushed aluminium and soft plastic trims dotted around its cabin. Jaguar claims it'll do up to 298 miles between charges.
Pros
  • Fantastic range
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Excellent range
Cons
  • Noisy on bumpy roads
  • Lack of safety kit

cnet[4]

Reviewer score 76% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from cnet have found:
The I-Pace starts at $71,000 (including a $1,150 destination charge) before any EV tax incentives or rebates. As tested, in fully loaded HSE trim, my example costs $84,276. The price and estimated range work out more or less competitive with the Audi E-Tron.
Pros
  • Excellent battery life
  • Excellent cabin tech
  • Good range
Cons
  • Lackluster infotainment
  • Lack of EV features
