Product Overview

Nissan Maxima 8 (chassis code A36) facelift is an affordable mid-size sedan in production from 2019. It is available with a single naturally-aspirated V6 engine that displaced 3.5 liters, which was carried over from the pre-facelift.
On the plus side, the Maxima is one of the last opportunity to get a naturally-aspirated V6. However, the facelift is uglier than pre-facelift, and the car still uses the horrible CVT transmission.

Reviewer score 52% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from cnet have found:
NissanConnect's 8-inch touchscreen is responsive to inputs and intuitive to work through. A Wi-Fi hotspot still isn't available from the factory, but one can be had as a dealer-installed option. The VQ 3.5-liter V6 is muscular and sounds great, churning out 300 horsepower.
Pros
  • Powerful V6 engine
  • Comfortable, well-trimmed cabin
  • Decent infotainment system
Cons
  • Lackluster CVT
  • Poor rearview camera
