Product Overview

Rolls-Royce Phantom 8 is a flagship full-size luxury sedan in production from 2017. It is available with a single BMW N74B68 bi-turbocharged V12 engine that displaced 6.75 liters paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Undoubtedly, the most exciting thing about the Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII is limitless customization that rich owners can choose for their bespoke car. Unlike the 7 Series, which shares with the Phantom the same platform and drivetrain (although with a smaller displacement), the Phantom prioritizes luxury rather than performance.

External Reviews

autocar[1]

Reviewer score 85% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
This car debuts a fresh, more torsionally rigid all-aluminium spaceframe platform. From it are hung air springs with adaptive dampers and active anti-roll bars. There’s also four-wheel steering, which in this instance is less about realising the last word in agility than it is making this 5.76 metre-long car tolerably manoeuvrable on tighter roads.
Pros
  • Gorgeous all-aluminium chassis
  • Fantastic ride quality
  • Impressive handling
Cons
  • Nothing in particular

autoexpress[2]

Reviewer score 88% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
The Rolls-Royce Phantom has a price tag that means it costs more than the average house for sale in the UK. It's expensive by anybody's estimation, but buyers that can afford it get to experience an interior that's one of the most luxurious places of all to spend time anywhere. With prices starting in excess of £300,000, it really is a car in a field of one.
Pros
  • Gorgeous interior
  • Powerful V12 engine
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons
  • Expensive for what you get

carmagazine[3]

Reviewer score 95% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from carmagazine have found:
The new 6.75-litre motor is based on the Ghost's V12 but extensively fettled. Unlike the old naturally aspirated Phantom, the new V12 uses turbochargers to boost low-end torque, and make performance even more effortless. The engine punches with silken smoothness – it's never jerky – and response is instant. It's also incredibly quiet, as eerily silent as an electric motor.
Pros
  • Powerful V12 engine
  • Sleek interior
  • Excellent ride quality
Cons
  • No paddle shifters
