Product Overview

BMW M6 F12 Convertible is an executive convertible in production from 2012 to 2018. It was powered by an S63 bi-turbo V8 engine that displaced 4.4 liters. The standard transmission is a 7-speed DCT, while select regions had an optional manual.
Compared to the E64 M6, the F12 is a lot more powerful and torquier, thanks to turbocharging. However, the S63 engine is based on the horrendous N63 hot-V8 that has been one of the least reliable V8s made in recent decades. As a result, the F12 M6 continues the theme of low engine reliability.
Suspension-wise, the adoption of double-wishbone front suspension is a big plus. However, the new car is even heavier than before, making its handling on par with the E64. More importantly, the F12's styling is arguably much more generic, which is to many a step down from the unmistakable design of the E64.
