Product Overview

Mercedes-Benz SL R231 facelift is a flagship mid-size luxury convertible in production from 2016 to 2020. It was available with a range of V6, V8, and V12 engines that displaced 3.0 to 6.0 liters.
Compared to the pre-facelift model, the facelifted R231 SL-Class has a new front and rear design that is more generic. New is the sweet 9G-Tronic automatic transmission that replaced the unreliable 7G-Tronic. Otherwise, the engines did not materially change. The only difference has been the addition of particulate filter to meet the Euro6d requirements and the discontinuation of the V12.
