Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster R199 is a flagship luxury mid-size convertible supercar in production from 2007 to 2009. It was powered by two tunes of a supercharged M155 V8 engine that displaced 5.4 liters paired to Mercedes' 5G-Tronic automatic transmission.
Compared to the coupe version (C199), the Roadster has the same drivetrain, though its performance and handling are slightly worse. While it still has the same butterfly doors, with the top up the Roadster has worse lines.
