Product Overview

Ferrari 458 Spider (Type F142) is a high-performance mid-size convertible sports car in production from 2011 to 2016. It was powered by several tunes of Ferrari's F136 naturally-aspirated V8 engine that displaced 4.5 liters.
Unlike previous mid-engined Ferraris, the 458 Spider was no longer available with a manual transmission. In its stead, Ferrari installed a 7-speed DCT as standard.
Compared to the 360 / F430 that preceded it, the 458 suddenly lost all the elegance and sensuality that Ferrari was once known for. The car now looks almost brutish, though it remains athletic.
One plus is the use of hard convertible top.

Reviewer score 98% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from carmagazine have found:
There are no latches to undo to open or close the roof, no annoying lugagge cover to engage, you simply press and hold the button on the centre console. vertical rear window doubling as a wind deflector when the roof is stored, as on a BMW 6-series cabrio. You can even lower the rear window with the roof in place, giving you all the security, refinement and privacy of the coupe, but with a soundtrack only a Spider can provide.
Pros
  • Powerful V8
  • Superb stability
  • Fantastic ride
Cons
  • Pricier than the Italia
