Product Overview

Toyota Camry Solara Convertible (chassis code XV20) is a mid-size convertible in production from 1998 to 2003. It was available with a range of inline-4 and V6 engines that displaced 2.2 to 3.0 liters.
Essentially the convertible version of a two-door (coupe) based on the Camry, the Solara Convertible is an upscale model with some parts shared with the Lexus ES. Toyota made available its superb 1MZ-FE V6 engine, which has legendary reliability. It also has a couple of other engines and reliable transmissions on the options list.
Overall, the Camry Solara Convertible has a decent exterior design, though it has no sporting pretensions.
