Product Overview

Bentley Continental GTC is a large luxury convertible in production from 2006 to 2010. It was available with two tunes of VAG's bi-turbocharged W12 engine that displaced 6.0 liters paired to a 6-speed ZF 6HP26A automatic transmission. AWD is standard.
Based on the Continental GT, the GTC was also built on Volkswagen's D1 platform, which also supported the VW Phaeton and the Bentley Flying Spur. The car shares parts with the D3 Audi A8 and S8, too.
Still, the GTC is the more luxurious car. Even though it is based on VW's new platform that is less exclusive, the list of customizations is very long and grew each year. It is only underneath and overtime that one realizes that the car is a suited-up VW.

Reviewers from carmagazine have found:
The GTC Speed gets the styling tweaks outlined above, plus the Mulliner pack (quilted hide seats, three-spoke multi-function wheel, knurled chrome gear lever) That comes at extra cost on the plain Jane model. Fettling that 6.0-litre, twin turbo W12 (two narrow angle V6s on a common crank) doesn't come cheap. Factor in the suspension upgrade and, what the hell, it's £10k well spent.
Pros
  • Gorgeous looks
  • Impressive low-speed manners
  • Superb infotainment system
Cons
  • Not the most fun to drive
  • Seat backs are too firm
