Product Overview

McLaren MP4-12C Spider is a mid-size convertible sports car in production from 2011 to 2014. It was powered by a bi-turbocharged V8 engine that displaced 3.8 liters paired to a 7-speed DCT that sends power to the rear wheels. The vehicle was renamed 12C Spider in 2012.
A hardtop convertible, the MP4-12C Spider is a more fun-filled variant of the the MP4-12C while being only marginally heavier. It is the first convertible that bears the McLaren badge and is a superb option for those who like the performance and styling that the marque offers while enjoying open-top cruising.

Reviewer score 100% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from carmagazine have found:
The 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 now packs 616bhp instead of 592bhp. The weight penalty of the roof is just 40kg because no additional strengthening is needed thanks to the super-stiff carbon tub. With the suspension set to Track, there's zero roll, while the pop-up Airbrake stabilising effects can be clearly felt under braking.
Pros
  • Gorgeous looks
  • Superb ride
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons
  • Brake Steer isn’t for everyone
