Product Overview

Mercedes-Benz CLS C219 is an executive sedan in production from 2004 to 2008, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of V6 and V8 engines that displaced 3.0 to 5.5 liters.
Essentially the "4-door coupe" (a.k.a. hunchback) variant of the E Class, the original CLS has exceptional exterior styling that combines the elegance of the W220 S Class and a hint of extra stature. Unfortunately, it is the vehicle that started the hunchback "4-door coupe" (or "Gran Coupe" in BMW-speak) nonsense that became uglier and uglier.
Drivetrain-wise, the C219 CLS was exceptional. With the exception of early model M273 engines, the entire engine lineup was solid. It has the chassis and suspension setup worthy of a luxury vehicle, too.
