Product Overview

Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series is a mid-size high-performance sports car based on the R230 SL-Class roadster: Unlike other SL vehicles, the Black Series is a coupe. It has the highest output of any M275 engine variants.
Displacing 6.0 liters, this limited-production V12 BiTurbo M275 AMG engine is exceptionally torquey and very powerful. Mercedes removed the top mechanism to give the Black Series a more rigid body and a small weight reduction; they largely failed to achieve the second goal, as the SL remained very heavy.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series comes with multi-link suspensions at all four corners. This provides the best cornering performance and tunability, at the expense of cost and a little bit of durability. Another negative is the horridly large 14.5m (47.6ft) turning circle.
