Product Overview

Alpina B6 E63 Coupe is an executive coupe in production from 2005 to 2010. It was powered by two tunes of a supercharged variant of BMW's N62 V8 engine that displaced 4.4 liters paired to ZF 6HP automatic transmission.
Based on the E63 650i, the E63 Alpina B6 uses the same engine found in the B7 and B5 of the same generation. It was the last non-turbo unit from Alpina. Curiously, this Alpina H1 engine is based on the N62B44, even though the BMW 650i used N62B48.
With a 18.6L/100km (12.6mpg) fuel "dis-economy", owners have to be prepared to pay for their "smiles-per-mile". Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the Alpina B6 uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.
