Product Overview

Jaguar XK X100 is a large luxury coupe in production from 1996 to 2005. It was available with a range of V8 engines that displaced 4.0 to 4.2 liters.
Before the 2002 model year, the XK8 used a 4.0L naturally-aspirated V8, while the high-performance XKR used the supercharged variant. After 2002, both were bumped to 4.2L with the new AJ34 engine. At the same time, the pre-2002 XK8 had the horrendous ZF 5HP transmission, while the XKR used Mercedes 5G-Tronic that is superb. Both the XK8 and the XKR moved to ZF 6HP, which is perhaps the middle of the road unit.
The X100 XK is very elegant, though some may prefer the XJS that it replaced. Its successor, the X150, is seen by many to be a departure.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Jaguar XK Coupe comes with double-wishbone suspensions at all four corners.
