Product Overview

Toyota Highlander Mk2 (chassis code XU40) is a mid-size crossover in production from 2007 to 2013. It was available with a range of inline-4 and V6 engines that displaced 2.7 to 3.5 liters.
Compared to the Mk1 Highlander, the Mk2 has a more modern exterior styling that could look like a Land Cruiser if one squints. Powering the vehicle is a range of more powerful engines and newer transmissions. Toyota continued to offer hybrid options, too.
Those who drive offroad, for work or leisure, need to think twice before pulling the trigger: the Toyota Highlander is hardly an "offroader", though utility-minded owners will love the 2282L (81cu-ft) cargo space.
The Highlander is also sold as Toyota Kluger in select markets.
