Product Overview

Nissan Pathfinder 4 (chassis code R52) is a large crossover in production from 2012 to 2021. It was available with a range of inline-4 and V6 engines that displaced 2.5 to 3.5 liters.
Compared to the R51 Pathfinder, the Mk4 lost V8 and became a crossover with a unibody construction. Unfortunately, Nissan continued to use horrible CVTs, which in this case became the only transmission available: considering how troublesome this unit is, it makes little sense to own this rather large and heavy vehicle after the warranty period.
Utility-minded owners will love the 2260L (80cu-ft) cargo space.

Reviewer score 62% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from cnet have found:
Nissan has done a solid job of peppering this Smyrna, Tennessee-built SUV with advanced safety features. The Pathfinder's best interior trick remains its easy tip-and-slide third-row access. Sadly, Nissan's likeable ProPilot Assist lane-centering tech is not available.
Pros
  • Excellent off-road capability
  • Comfortable second-row seats
  • Good infotainment tech
Cons
  • No Apple CarPlay or Android Auto
  • Mediocre cabin tech
