Product Overview

BMW X6 E71 is a mid-size crossover in production from 2008 to 2012, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of inline-6 and V8 engines that displaced 3.0 to 4.4 liters.
The uglified sister model of the E70 X5, the X6 started the industry's hunchback crossover (usually marketed as "SUV") trend.
Horrible on the outside, the X6 is also less useful inside. The hunchback robs rear seat headroom and cargo space. Even though the vehicle is rather large, its interior space is comparable to a compact sedan or a mid-size hatchback.
Reliability-wise, the E71 is exceptionally disastrous. The N63 engine is the arguably the worst modern V8 in the industry, while the N54 petrol and N57 diesel all have long lists of durability issues.
