Product Overview

BMW X5 M F85 is a high-performance mid-size crossover in production from 2015 to 2018. It was powered by a highly-tuned S63B44T2 hot-V bi-turbo petrol engine that displaced 4.4 liters.
Compared to the E70 X5 M, the F85 has little mechanical upgrade, though the T2 version of the S63 is supposed to be more reliable, and the ZF 8HP transmission has also received updates to improve durability. Time has show, however, that the vehicle remains unreliable overall.
Styling-wise, however, the F85 is a giant leap forward. The X5 M is now more imposing and coherent.
Those who drive offroad, for work or leisure, need to think twice before pulling the trigger: the BMW X5 M F85 is hardly the "offroader" that BMW would like you to think. Owners may find that at speed the vehicle consumes a lot more than the numbers indicate, thanks to a disappointing 0.38 coefficient of drag to show for it.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the BMW X5 M comes with double-wishbone at the front and multi-link at the rear.
