Product Overview

Chevrolet Avalanche 2 (chassis code GMT940) is an upscale full-size pickup in production from 2006 to 2013. It was available with a range of V8 engines that displaced 5.3 to 6.0 liters.
Based on the Chevy Suburban, it is an more luxurious, albeit less utilitarian alternative to the Silverado. Its more expensive brother is the Cadillac Escalade EXT.
Compared to the Mk1 Avalanche, the Avalanche 2 ceased the use of the big block V8 engine but added a 6-speed 6L80 transmission in 2009. It has a more coherent styling and is no longer plagued by black plastic.
Those who drive offroad, for work or leisure, will appreciate the extraordinary approach and departure angles that the chassis offers. Utility-minded owners will love the 2859L (101cu-ft) cargo space.
