Product Overview

GMC Acadia Mk1 is a full-size crossover in production from 2007 to 2016. It was available with a range of V6 engines that displaced 3.6 liters paired to GM's 6-speed automatic transmissions.
The Acadia is related to the Chevrolet Traverse. It had a similarly bland design, though GMC appears to have made a superior effort than Chevy in making the Acadia somewhat more appealing. Mechanically, however, it is identical to that Traverse.
Utility-minded owners will love the high 3310L (117cu-ft) of cargo space, while drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the GMC Acadia uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.
Like the Traverse, the Acadia received a facelift in 2012 for the 2013 model year. The front-end improved quite a bit, though the vehicle remained otherwise unchanged throughout the production run.
