Product Overview

Mercedes-Benz CLS X218 Shooting Brake facelift is an executive station wagon in production from 2014 to 2018. It was available with a range of inline-4, V6, and V8 engines that displaced 2.1 to 5.5 liters.
Compared to the pre-facelift model, this facelift introduced some new engines and up-rated others. More importantly, the new 9-speed 9G-Tronic automatic transmission was rolled out, resulting in improved fuel economy. Owners report that it is also a superior transmission in driving dynamics. Thankfully, the venerable M157 5.5L V8 Bi-turbo lived on, too.
Mercedes-Benz has made a good effort in aerodynamics, with a decent 0.28 coefficient of drag to show for it.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.
