Product Overview

Alpina B7 E65 is a high-performance luxury sedan in production from 2004 to 2008. It was available with a single supercharged V8 engine that displaced 4.4 liters.
Based on the E65/E66 BMW 745i/Li, the Alpina B7 was the first Alpina to use a supercharger. On the N62B44 naturally-aspirated 4.4L V8, Alpina chose the route of forced-induction instead of its classic cylinder boring. A centrifugal supercharger was employed to boost the engine's output significantly.
Curiously, Alpina did not choose the V12 as the base of the B7, with weight distribution and fuel economy as justifications.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the Alpina B7 uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.
